Who we are
DeenOD Studio is a games studio operated as a sole proprietorship out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The studio site lives at deenod.cc. The data controller for personal data described below is the studio. Email privacy@deenod.cc with any privacy questions or requests.
What we collect
- Email address when you sign up to the studio waitlist. Stored in our Firestore database with a source field (e.g., which page captured the signup), the date, and any title-specific interests you optionally indicated.
- Contact form submissions (name, email, message, category) when you write to us via the contact page. Stored in Firestore long enough for us to respond, then archived.
- Anonymous analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no tracking across sites. Cloudflare collects coarse-grained data: page-view counts, referrers, country-level location, browser family. None of this identifies you personally.
- Server logskept by our hosting provider (Netlify) for operational reasons. These include IP addresses and timestamps, retained per Netlify’s policy.
We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
How we use it
- To send you studio updates if you joined the waitlist, at the cadence we describe on the home page.
- To reply to anything you send via /contact.
- To understand which pages people read, in aggregate, so we know what to write more of. Cloudflare data is aggregate; no individual user is profiled.
- To run the site (security, abuse prevention, infrastructure monitoring).
Third-party processors
- Firebase / Firestore (Google Cloud) — stores waitlist and contact submissions.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — aggregate page-view data.
- Netlify — hosts the site and runs the API routes.
- Stripe — payment processing for patron subscriptions when those go live. Stripe is the data controller for payment data; we receive minimal fields (subscription status, tier, last 4 of card masked by Stripe) to identify your account.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (confirmations, devlog notifications) when that goes live.
Each of these processors operates under their own privacy policy. We pick processors that minimize data and are privacy-respecting by reputation.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@deenod.cc and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you joined the waitlist, every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe that also removes you from our list.
Children
The studio site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we’ve received such data, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as the studio evolves (new processors, new features). The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced via the studio waitlist.
Note
This policy is the studio’s own writing. Before any commercial launch (patron payments, store sales), it’s reviewed and refined by a lawyer. Anything that should be changed sooner is welcome via /contact.
